FIDELITY BANK P.O.W.E.R.
Fidelity Bank, a full-service community bank, has received national recognition for P.O.W.E.R., its exclusive program serving the women business community. P.O.W.E.R. (Potential of Women Entrepreneurs Realized) combines educational resources, networking opportunities and facilitated connections with a wide array of financial products for entrepreneurial women.
According to the 2019 State of Women-Owned Businesses Report by American Express OPEN, women opened 1,817 new businesses per day in the United States between 2018 and 2019, down only slightly from the record-setting 2018 number of 1,821. “Women business owners are starting companies at a three-times-faster rate than the national average. They are changing the landscape of our community, with over 13 million woman-owned businesses employing more than 9.4 million workers. We want to support them in reaching their own potential,” says Tammy O’Shea, Chief Marketing Officer of Fidelity Bank. “P.O.W.E.R. gives women in business all the tools they need to succeed, flourish and spur revenue growth for their business.” The bank highlights and features P.O.W.E.R members in their advertising, hosts events at members’ places of business and offers the opportunity to participate in P.O.W.E.R. Plug, a monthly podcast; P.O.W.E.R Vision, a weekly social media series; P.O.W.E.R Perspectives, a deep dive conversation into issues facing women in business; and Personal P.O.W.E.R., a monthly blog.
“Our mission at Fidelity Bank is to be HERE FOR GOOD. Providing opportunities for like-minded women to connect, learn and grow is just one more way we live our mission,” says Elizabeth “Liz” Broekman, Director of P.O.W.E.R. Membership in P.O.W.E.R. is offered to all women business owners who bank their business with Fidelity Bank. In just three years, the program boasts over 1,200 members. Members may take advantage of the custom website fidelitybankpower.com, which serves as a community resource by listing events, articles and other information relating to women business owners.
