7TH - 15TH NOVEMBER 2015 THEME: PERCEPTION THE INTERMEDIATE NATIONAL CONTACT MEETING (INCM) OF THE EUROPEAN ARCHITECTURE STUDENT ASSEMBLY (EASA) CONTACT incmalba2015@gmail.com www.easa.scot
WELCOME TO INCM ALBA 2015 The INCM is coming to Scotland for the first time. The meeting is a crucial part to the calendar of events for the EASA network. EASA compromises of architecture students from every country in Europe as well as some representatives from India and Central and South America. EASA meets twice a year, for the winter INCM and the Summer Assembly. The summer assembly hosts over 500 participants who take part in a variety of workshops. The INCM runs in the winter for the 120 national contacts responsible for running EASA within their country. In October 2014, we travelled to the INCM in Berlin and bid to host the INCM in Scotland against the Czech Republic and Serbia. Having won the bid we came back with a huge amount of passion and enthusiasm to make the event a success in Scotland. We would like to offer YOU the opportunity to join with us in delivering a fantastic experience to all architecture students. Please read on to find out how you can help! PERCEPTION
Our event will showcase the best of Scotland and its culture to European architecture students. During the meetings we will also discuss our collective future as a network and our involvement in the future of the architectural profession. The time will be busy with intensive and stimulating discussions, lectures, gatherings and workshops. The event will take place across 9 action packed days; it will be split between two locations, Glasgow and Forres, showcasing both the urban and rural landscapes of Scotland. We want to provide an event, which will not only spark the imagination of our visitors, but also light up the local communities and architectural profession within our country.

LETTERS OF SUPPORT We also have support from: - The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland - Architecture and Design Scotland
Dear Members of the INCM ALBA 2015 Bid Team Glasgow is recognised throughout the world as an important commercial, business and educational centre and as one of Europe’s official cultural capitals. We appreciate, however, that even at the most important meetings, delegates are not involved in their subject all their waking hours and in Glasgow your delegates will find an extensive range of activities. Some may visit our many museums and art galleries. Admirers of architecture will enjoy some of the finest examples of Victorian design in Britain along, of course, with the unique Art Nouveau heritage of Charles Rennie Mackintosh. Our range of restaurants and nightlife are what you would expect of one of Britain’s liveliest and vibrant of cities. In the event of our city being chosen for this most prestigious meeting, I can assure your delegates of a warm and friendly reception and my council will be only too pleased to offer civic recognition in respect of your meeting.

“Our winning bid to host INCM Alba 2015 was due to the strength and enthusiasm of our team. We are four close friends brought together by architecture who are eager to give something back. We are determined to show the EASA community and Europe what Scotland has to offer.
A WINNING TEAM We are three students, and one graduate from the Glasgow School of Art who have each become key members within EASA and who have a great range of knowledge and experience between us.
