Genova art and culture 2 nights/3 days
Genova was a glorious Maritime Republic and Renaissance city, very appreciated by travellers and artists which painted its prestigious palaces, Unesco Human Heritage. It was a Renaissance cradle and hometown of travellers and sailors. In Genova illustrious and famous men like Christopher Columbus and Niccolò Paganini were born. It has lots of shades and it's famous for its great historic centre, the biggest in Europe, a net of small and narrow streets rich in old workshops, palaces and typical frying shops! In this city even the gastronauts can satisfy their curiosities: DOC wines, salty cakes, focaccia, pesto-sauce...a delicate but tasty cuisine with fish and land dishes. At present, once arrived in Genova, you cannot miss a walk in the pedestrian area of Porto Antico, perfect location for events and shows. In this area there are important exhibits like Acquario di Genova, the biggest aquarium in Europe, Galata Museo del Mare, the biggest Italian maritime museum dedicated to the sea and the Nazario Sauro submarine.
