Permanent Displays Materials GCI offers a dynamic range of materials that can be used to construct your permanent displays. These substrates include:
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF) This is our most economical substrate. Other finishing materials can be added to create a unique and high-end looks. These materials can include:
• Wood veneers - Veener provides a cost-effective alternative to real wood. • Aluminum plating • PVC - This can be completely customized. • Velvet • Faux Leather • Wood Paper • Packaging Papers • Paint - Applied directly on the surface of the MDF with a matte or gloss finish.
Acrylic Acrylic is one of the most versatile and economic materials for smaller displays. It can be easily diecut, screen printed or laminated with printed vinyl for messaging or graphics, and comes in a wide variety of colors. Acrylic also works well for accessory components on solid substrate displays.
Wood If you’re looking for a premium look and solid construction, we can provide it. We source a wide range of wood species, stain and coatings for a beautiful finish.
Metal Our most common and versatile metal substrate is aluminum. It can be painted, polished or brushed, screen printed, or laminated with printed vinyl to provide the perfect look and finish. Whether using the materials above or a variety of other substrates, GCI will work with you every step of the way to find the right solution for your budget and aesthetic needs.
Testing Quality comes first for every display. Not only do our materials comply with California Prop 65, TPCH and CARB requirements (where applicable), but we also conduct ship testing to ISTA standards to minimize risk of damage in transit. Additional testing is available upon client request.
