Wastewater Samplers for the World

Portable Wastewater Samplers P2 Series The three Aquacell P2 variants centre around the well known and highly respected Aquacell sampling module. Whether it’s the super compactness of the P2-COMPACT, the Sample Temperature Control of the P2-COOLBOX or the Sample Collection Vessel versatility of the P2-MULITFORM that is needed, you can be confident that between these three models your Portable Wastewater Sampling requirement can be provided for.

Features •

All models MCERTs compliant (Environment Agency specification superseding E32 specification)

All models suitable for indoor and outdoor operation. With an ambient operation temperature range of -10°C to 50°C the P2 Series offer true ‘all condition’ flexibility

All key electronic equipment is housed in the rugged, humidity controlled body of the Aquacell Module

The lockable Front Cover combined with ‘loop through’ Security Cords provide the P2 Series with protection in vulnerable locations

Collected samples are stored in the selected Sample Collection Vessel(s). Being separate from the Aquacell Module and programming interface, this arrangement means the user can interrogate the program and carry out routine maintenance without the need to disturb the samples or sampling program

Access and retrieval of collected samples could not be easier with the slide out design of the P2-COMPACT and P2 -MULTIFORM samplers

Via the Ancillary Signal Connection all P2 models can be connected to and controlled by external equipment such as Flow Meters, pH Meters, PLCs etc.

All Aquacell P2 Series Samplers can be supplied with a choice of four Power Options. Integral 12VDC Battery, external 12VDC, single phase AC or single phase AC with trickle charged 12VDC backup battery - RENTAL -

P2 Series Installation Guide •

The Sampler should be installed as close to the sampling point as possible. This will help minimise cross contamination between successive samples and also reduce wear on working parts

A flat, horizontal mounting position should be provided (see Technical Specification for details of Sampler size)

Choose a sampling point where you can be sure that the wastewater is well mixed. Downstream of a measuring flume is ideal

The Sampler’s Intake Hose should be installed so that it is self-draining away from the Sampler Module

In order to avoid the possibility of siphoning it is essential that the maximum level of the source wastewater is lower than the Samplers intake level (see Data Table for details)

When siting the Sampler, consideration should be given to the possibility that direct solar radiation could cause the Sampler to rise above its specified maximum temperature (see Technical Specification for details). If this potential exists then additional solar screening should be provided

Where necessary a suitable isolated electrical supply should be provided (see Technical Specification for details)

Peripheral equipment such as Flow Meters, pH Meter etc. can be connected to the P2 Series via the optional Ancillary Signal Connection. This connection is supplied with a 1.5m long cable. If connecting over a long distance then one or more signal isolators (not supplied by Aquamatic) mounted local to the Sampler may be required in order to protect against damaging transients Aquamatic Limited • Mayfield Industrial Park • Liverpool Road • Irlam • Manchester • M44 6GD • UK

P2-COMPACT

P2-COOLBOX

P2-MULTIFORM

When super-compactness combined with uncompromised sampling performance is required, the Aquacell P2-COMPACT is the perfect solution. Ideal where Samplers are used and transported between different sites. Incorporated within the Aquacell P2COMPACT’s practical design is a single, easy clean, low profile 5 litre sample container. At only 0.05m3 the Aquacell P2-COMPACT is not only compact by name but also by nature.

Incorporated within the P2-COOLBOX is a high performance Sample Temperature Control facility. This ensures that the collected samples are preserved at an optimal temperature (0°C to 5°C up to 5 days) whilst awaiting collection / inspection. This is particularly useful when sampling biologically active wastewater. The Aquacell P2-COOLBOX is designed typically to operate at sites where the sampling requirement is infrequent or there is simply no power available. This high performance Portable Sampler makes a very practical alternative to installing a Stationary Sampler with Sample Temperature Control and the associated costs.

This is the most versatile member of the Aquacell P2 family. The Aquacell P2-MULTIFORM can accommodate a choice of 4 Sample Collection Vessels (see Sample Collection Vessel options). Changing Sample Collection Vessels is extremely quick and simple with the Aquacell Module’s lift off design. The open aluminum frame structure of the Aquacell P2-MULTIFORM provides close visual contact with the collected samples. Users will quikly appreciate the benefit of being able to see each sample depositing correctly into its container without having to dismantle the Sampler.

Thick wall insulation combined with sealed ‘no mess’ Cooling Elements provide the impressive Sample Temperature control performance offered by the P2-COOLBOX. As the Sample Temperature Control facility does not require any electrical power, the P2’s power source (normally an Integral Battery) is required only to power the Sampling Module and therefore maximises the operating period.

The P2-COOLBOX base easily separates into its component parts

The P2-COOBOX can be supplied with a Sample Temperature Monitoring Facility. With this option the minimum, maximum, average and present sample temperatures can by monitored on the Aquacell display. Additionally all the P2 Series Samplers can be fitted with an RS232 computer interface facility. This enables the download of logged sample temperature data from the Sampler Module to a PC (or similar) via an RS232 Serial Interface.
