Professionals go ‘high-tech’ DRYSDALE’S Allpoints real estate agency has gone back to its roots by rebranding as a Professionals Bellarine office. Director Mark Petterwood said the move back to Professionals would provide clients with better technology but the same friendly, reliable service. Mr Petterwood said the business had traded as Professionals Bellarine before switching to an Allpoints office in 2005. “Now that we’re established in the area we’ve identified a great opportunity to grow and enable us to bring some fantastic new technological advances for clients,” he said. The office had also expanded its selling area into Ocean Grove and Leopold. “The team is still the same and we have the same

services but better use of technology and tools to get our vendors better value without spending a fortune. “This technology includes virtual property tours, video property shows and the use of QR codes on smart phones, which is a barcode attached to a brochure or a sales board. “When someone takes a picture of it on their smart phone, it scans the code and automatically directs them to a website that tells them about the property.” Mr Petterwood said clients aged 20 to 60 now wanted a more convenient process when buying or selling a property. “When we look at our buyer age group now, all of them are using smart phones,” he said. “It has changed the selling and buying process dramatically.

“The Professionals group is very advanced with modern technology that we see as absolutely necessary with real estate in the future. “We decided to join with someone who had already put the hard work into technology and would continue to do so in the future.” Mr Petterwood said his agency joined a “great network” of Professionals branches, including a recently re-branded Allpoints@Carr office in Geelong. Allpoints director Jason Barnett said his team was “really excited” about the change to Professionals Geelong. “Professsionals has a really good handle on social networking and a good grasp of newer technology like QR codes,” Mr Barnett said.
