Fruit Property agent Matt’s kicking goals with sponsorships of young Falcon players FRUIT Property agent Matt Podvinsek will swap his suit and mobile phone for sports gear and a meat pie to cheer on Geelong Falcons football team this year. Mr Podvinsek said his sponsorship of several Falcons footballers was a way of “giving something back to the community”. “I’ve always had a great sense of community,” Mr Podvinsek confided. “I love my city, so I’m really proud to mentor and sponsor these

wonderful young players in a leadership role.” Mr Podvinsek said he had juggled his real estate work with volunteer time in the past for State Emergency Service and community radio stations. “I love helping people, it’s certainly in my blood both personally and professionally.” He described his sponsored players - Gabe Dillon, Cormac Cashin, Myles Benham, Tom Stewart

and Sam Carr - as “outstanding” footballers. “I’m very excited to be sponsoring such great young people and such an outstanding club in the Geelong Falcons.” The self-described avid footy fan was thrilled to now have more reasons to attend matches in Geelong. “I’ll get to as many games as I can after my open homes on Saturdays,” he said.

A TEAM of Harcourts’ staff will put their fitness to the test this week when they jump on their bikes to raise money for Queensland’s flood appeal and cystic fibrosis research. Harcourts’ two offices in Geelong have thrown both their support and donations of money behind the charity cycling team of eight colleagues from around Australia. Harcourts North Geelong director Joe Grgic said the charity challenge team left Melbourne’s Federation Square last week.
