Colours to wear this season
AUTUMN is my favourite season. Not only because I was born in April, but because I adore the weather. It’s not hot, nor cold, just chilled. My kind of weather. Autumn is the season when fashionistas give us a glimpse of what to expect in winter. They try on different items and colours that could make a fun, warm winter. Here are some top five colours that you should be wearing this season.
Ginger
This colour gives both summer and winter vibes. Depending on how you pair it, it usually pops in Autumn, giving you a bright, bold look. It matches well with brown, making the perfect Autumn combo.
Nudes
It cannot be Autumn without any nudes. Nudes are perfect if you want to put on a lazy look but still be on par. Nude sweatpants and tank tops will forever be on trend, thanks to COVID-19 for making loungewear a thing.
Black
It is the ultimate colour. In the township slang, it is called “colour ya manyora” (which can be translated to “colour of the top dogs”).
Olive green
A classic. I wouldn’t recommend wearing olive green during the day unless it’s cargo pants. It is the colour you would want to wear on a dinner date. Don a satin olive green dress or a suit. That way, you are guaranteed a sultry look. For a day look, opt for lime green and match it with black to stand out.
Pink
We are not in winter yet, so we are trying to bring out as many colours as possible. What I like about pink is that it’s fit for every season. In Autumn, you can use it to break colours. For example, if you’re wearing a black outfit, you can throw in a pink coat to add more flair to your outfit. It’s that girl that’s forever ready to save the day.
