BUYERS embarking on the house hunting process should understand the maximum loan amount they qualify for, says Shaun Rademeyer, chief executive of MultiNET Home Loans.
They then need to establish where their budgets allow them to buy.

“Our advice is to find areas with higher-valued properties and then find a property in that area that needs some TLC and fits in the budget.
This will give a home buyer the best return on their investment in the long run after some improvements have been made.”
Alternatively, if home improvement is not a buyer’s game, Rademeyer advises that they research the areas properly with a qualified estate agent and be sure to make a suitable offer based on their affordability levels.
