Monnapule Saleng’s 2022/2023 season was a game-changer for the winger and in fact his club pirates.

The club managed to secure the double, taking the MTn8 and nedbank Cup titles, with Saleng the main driving force behind their success.

The 25-year-old recorded impressive figures, with a 26goal involvement last season (15 goals and 11 assists) in all competitions, making him the man to watch for the Sea Robbers this time around.

Pirates have been earmarked as the closest side to the all conquering Sundowns machine, but their decision to hold onto Saleng for another season might be key to achieving that feat. If he continues his good form at club level, he could also push for a place in the Bafana Bafana squad

The current premiership Footballer of the Season, Mokoena has finally showcased his pedigree as one of the most gifted players in the league.

The SuperSport united academy graduate has slotted into a Mamelodi Sundowns side littered with quality and secured his place in the heart of midfield.

Now a regular for the national team as well, the 26-year-old is expected once again to kick on as his side look to defend their league trophy.

Mokoena, a man proven on both the local and continental scene, will set his sights on powering the Brazilians to more history and possibly regain the Caf Champions league title. and who knows, a move to an overseas club may be his reward for an outstanding season at Sundowns

The 2023/2024 season might be one of redemption for the 2019/2020 Footballer of the Year after an injury-interrupted campaign last term. lorch has made headlines for all the wrong reasons off the pitch in recent times, but there is no doubting the star man’s ability when he is on song. With his beloved Pirates finishing 16 points behind Sundowns last season, the 30-year-old utility player will hope a good pre-season like he’s had will aid him as he seeks to close the gap between the two sides completely.

Lorch has proven technical ability, tenacity and a winning mentality – all attributes that he will certainly draw on for what could be a huge season for him

PULE MMODI Kaizer Chiefs

Soweto giants Kaizer Chiefs have finally secured the signature of sought-after winger pule Mmodi, a player they’ve had their sights on for years now.

Mmodi joins an amakhosi attacking unit built for speed and energy as the club looks to improve on their fifth-place finish of last season.

The 29-year-old managed nine goal involvements in the colours of KwaZuluNatal outfit Golden Arrows last season, and with better quality around him, he will want to improve on those numbers with a much bigger fan base backing him.

The Free-State-born man will join the likes of Ashley Du Preez, Keagan Dolly and fellow new arrival Mduduzi Mdantsane in the offensive line, and he has already shown glimpses of his brilliance in pre-season n

JUNIOR SEDE DION aMazulu

The Côte D’Ivoire-born man has lived up to all expectations since arriving at usuthu as a Romain Folz Signing, and has emerged as the biggest weapon in the amaZulu arsenal.

Dion arrived in the January transfer window, but still managed to snatch a starting berth in a stacked AmaZulu front-line, grabbing five goals in his 12 appearances.
