Barriers for virus
Kudo E, Song E, Yockey LJ, et al.: Low ambient humidity impairs barrier function and innate resistance against influenza infection. Proc Natl Acad Sci U S A. 2019; 116(22): 10905–10910.
Any respiratory virus flourishes in cold and dry conditions and gets destroyed in hot and humid conditions. Since our aim is to destroy the virus, we need to somehow provide it heat. How rapidly will it be destroyed will depend on the amount and speed of heat provided to the virus. This is simple science/principle which has already been proved.
BARRIERS FOR VIRUS
As stated earlier, respiratory virus travels to our body through nose and mouth. In fact, it already exists in our nose. However, there are barriers in our respiratory tract especially in the nose which ensure that this virus may not harm us.
