By Sanjana Bhowmick

He pasted the dry hay on a piece of paper and then cut the shapes with scissors. He made idols and portraits of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Rabindranath Tagore, Lord Ganesha, Lord Buddha, Sourav Ganguly, and many more.

Biswarup working with the Income Tax department; loves various art forms. His innate love for art made him create beautiful idols and portraits with a simple component - hay straws.

Drawing inspiration from his fellow artist friend, Biswarup got this idea from social media. “People said this art is nothing special and I should try doing something different. But I took it up as a challenge and never gave up. I feel happy and grateful that I could make a record with the India Book of Records ”, says Biswarup. The record was in the making for a year, as Biswarup developed the concept and technique by himself.

In the future, Biswarup wants to achieve more records in the field of art.
