India, Bangladesh to start cruise service through Sunderbans from Friday: MEA India and Bangladesh will start a cruise service from Friday that would take passengers through the Sunderbans to Dhaka, a senior MEA official said. Addressing a conference on Multipolarism in Asia: Issues and Challenges, Vikram Doraiswami, joint secretary at the External Affairs Ministry, said the move was aimed to strengthen inland waterway routes between the two countries. Researchers at IIT-Delhi develop AI-based detector for malaria, TB, cervical cancer Researchers at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) have developed artificial intelligence (AI)-based low-power electronic hardware systems that can help detect malaria, tuberculosis, intestinal parasite and cervical cancer in mere milliseconds. The research focuses on building a neuromorphic system which can be used for healthcare access in resource-constrained areas with limited access to human specialists. Mission Shakti: India's 'space missile' technology was developed by DRDO in Hyderabad The Anti-Satellite Missile System (ASAT) used by the DRDO to test fire on a low-orbit Indian satellite was fully developed at the Defence Research and Development Laboratory (DRDL) facility in Telangana. Speaking to TNM, DRDO officials said the ASAT technology was developed over the years and the missile system used is a new system which was developed using existing ballistic missile technology.
