Glass painting can be both abstract and representative.

Realistic paintings are tougher to make as it is difficult to obtain perfect sketch of natural thing on glass. Error cannot be corrected once it is painted on glass whereas abstract art is about unnatural work so it does not create much trouble. Still, it’s only at the end of abstract painting that the artist gets to know if it’s beautiful or not.

They can even be removed by scrapping off using a knife or blade if an error occurs. Though, try to avoid putting any scratch on glass.
