Srihan has been allocated the portfolio of Science, Technology & Digital Economies and looks forward to the induction ceremony in April and parliament sitting in September.
As per a statement from the young leader, "It will be an invaluable experience to understand the workings of the government, complexities of preparing draft bills, debating and having them passed, contesting elections and roles of premier, leader of the opposition and other functionaries. It is also an opportunity to share the 21st century perspective of Australia's youth with the government."
The program is being run for 26 years by YMCA Youth Parliament and is supported by Office of Youth, Queensland Government and Queensland Parliamentary Service.
Go, Srihan! Good on you.
