CG & Telangana delegation meet Queensland minister to boost sports collaboration

Consul General (CG) Neetu M Bhagotia, along with a delegation from the Telangana government, recently held a productive meeting with Timothy (Tim) Mander MP, Queensland’s Minister for Sport and Racing and Minister for the Olympic and Paralympic Games, at the Queensland Academy of Sport (QAS).


The discussions focused on enhancing sports collaboration between India and Australia, fostering mutual growth, and sharing expertise in athlete training, sports science, and infrastructure development.


With the upcoming Olympics and Paralympics on the horizon, both sides explored ways to deepen engagement in high-performance sports, talent development, and knowledge exchange.
The meeting underscored the strong sporting ties between the two nations and the potential for greater cooperation in preparing athletes for international competitions. Such collaborations are expected to strengthen sports diplomacy and create new opportunities for both Indian and Australian athletes.
