Tamil Arts and Culture Association celebrates Pongal at Federal Parliament

The Tamil Arts and Culture Association recently organized Pongal celebrations at the Federal Parliament theatre, bringing together the Indian diaspora to celebrate Tamil heritage.

Indian High Commissioner Gopal Baglay attended the event, which featured captivating Bharatanatyam performances, along with traditional Tamil martial arts, instrumental music, and songs, showcasing the richness of Tamil culture.

In his address, the High Commissioner extended his best wishes for prosperity and progress and praised the community’s efforts in preserving Tamil cultural, linguistic, and literary traditions in Australia.

He also highlighted the upcoming Kashi Tamil Sangamam, dedicated to Sage Agasthyar, a pioneer in Tamil literature and Siddha medicine, encouraging Indianorigin Australians to actively participate in the event.
