Indian students awarded Premier’s scholarship for studies in Western Australia

Consul General Amarjeet Singh Takhi joined Western Australia’s Minister for International Education, David Templeman MLA, in congratulating two outstanding Indian students who received the Premier’s Scholarship and WACE Bursary for their academic excellence.


Shruti Shetty, pursuing a postgraduate degree in biotechnology at The University of Western Australia (UWA), and Pratham Verma, pursuing an MBA at Murdoch University, were recognized for their achievements. The Premier’s Scholarship, a prestigious award, provides a one-time support of $50,000 to high-achieving students enrolling in Western Australia’s five universities.


The recognition highlights Western Australia’s commitment to attracting top international talent, strengthening IndiaAustralia educational ties, and fostering academic excellence and global collaboration.
