India’s 76th Republic Day celebrated with enthusiasm at Indian Consulate in Brisbane

The Consulate General of India in Brisbane marked India’s 76th Republic Day on January 26, 2025, with a celebration filled with patriotic fervour and community spirit.

Consul General Neetu Bhagotia led the event by unfurling the Indian National Flag, followed by the singing of the national anthem. She also read out excerpts from India’s President Droupadi Murmu’s address to the nation, emphasizing India's progress, resilience, and global aspirations.

The event was well attended by members of the Indian community, local dignitaries, and friends of India, reflecting the strong ties between India and Australia.

Adding to the celebratory spirit, Vaibhav Tripathi, one of the winners of the prestigious Bharat Ko Janiye Quiz, was felicitated for his achievement in promoting awareness about India’s rich heritage and contemporary progress.

The Republic Day celebrations at the Indian Consulate in Brisbane continue to be an important annual occasion, bringing together the community to honour India’s democratic values and strengthen cultural bonds with Australia.
