CG inaugurates expo on Indian weddings at Curzon Hall

Consul General (CG) Dr S Janakiraman inaugurated the much-anticipated ‘Grand Indian Wedding Experience’ on July 9 at Curzon Hall in Marsfield. This exclusive expo was designed to celebrate and showcase the grandeur and cultural richness of Indian weddings. Attendees from various cultural backgrounds gathered to watch the vibrant tapestry of traditions and festivities.


The event featured a plethora of attractions, including traditional Indian music performances, lively entertainment showcasing dance forms like Bollywood and classical dances, and a rich array of authentic Indian cuisine. Guests were also treated to intricate mehndi designs, showcasing the artistry of henna application, and had the opportunity to explore traditional clothing and jewellery displays.

The ‘Grand Indian Wedding Experience’ served not only as an exposition of Indian wedding customs but also as a platform for cultural education and celebration. Participants had the chance to learn about the intricate rituals and decorations that characterize Indian weddings, gaining deeper insights into the cultural fabric of India.
