A turning point in the history of Australia-India relations has been reached with the opening of the Centre for Australia-India Relations (CAIR) in Parramatta. Under the direction of Swati Dave, this project was started by the Albanese government in 2022 and represents a calculated attempt to improve mutual understanding, strengthen bilateral relations, and unleash enormous cultural and economic potential. It is critical to recognize this big project's ambition and the many benefits it provides as we watch it come to life.

Although Australia and India have a long history of working together, the founding of CAIR crystallizes a forward-thinking strategy that goes beyond conventional diplomacy. The centre’s goal to strengthen trade links and assist the Indian diaspora is a reflection of its sophisticated understanding of modern global dynamics.
