Australia India Institute to host inaugural Australia India Renewables Dialogue

Melbourne, May 29 (Australia India News Newsdesk)

The Australia India Institute has announced plans to host the inaugural Australia India Renewables Dialogue (AIRD) on July 16 in Sydney. The aim of the dialogue is to unlock innovative opportunities that will aid both countries in decarbonizing their economies.

In collaboration with Investment NSW and the Confederation of Indian Industry, the AIRD will run alongside the Australian Clean Energy Summit. Representatives from both the Australian and Indian governments are expected to participate, with Australia’s Minister for Climate Change and Energy, Chris Bowen MP, and High Commissioner of India, Gopal Baglay, among the notable attendees.

The dialogue follows on from discussions held at the Australia India Leadership Dialogue last November and the Australia India Clean Energy Roundtable in Mumbai in February. This initiative aligns with the Australia India Institute's Sustainable Economies pillar, which focuses on promoting sustainability in bilateral trade and investment.
