Melbourne welcomes first batch of dual degree students for two-week immersion visit

Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar, alongside Deputy Director of Study Melbourne Caroline Hartnett and dignitaries from BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy, extended a warm welcome to the inaugural cohort of 92 students enrolled in the dual degree Bachelor in Engineering program during their two-week immersion visit to Melbourne. The event marked a significant milestone in academic collaboration between the two institutions, providing students with invaluable networking opportunities with industry professionals, BITS alumni, and academia. This immersive experience aimed to acquaint students with Melbourne's multicultural society while facilitating their transition to RMIT Melbourne in 2025 for the continuation of their academic journey under the 2+2 arrangement.







Consul General Dr Sushil Kumar engaged in fruitful discussions with a high-level joint delegation from BITS-RMIT Higher Education Academy, highlighting the ongoing collaboration between the globally recognized institutions. Among the topics of discussion was the innovative dual degree program for Bachelor in Engineering courses, emblematic of the commitment to fostering academic excellence and global partnerships.
