The Consulate General, in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Associations of Victoria (FIAV), recently organized the vibrant 'India in Victoria' celebration in Melbourne. The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from approximately 3000 members of the diaspora and friends of India, highlighting India's rich cultural tapestry in Victoria.

Dignitaries and community leaders graced the occasion, including Assistant Minister for Foreign Affairs Tim Watts MP, Matt Fregon MP, Steve McGhie MP, Leader of the Opposition John Pesutto, Mathew Hilakari MP, Vivienne Nguyen, VMC Commissioner, and Councillor Daria Kellander.

The 'India in Victoria' celebration served as a platform to showcase the diverse cultural heritage of India through various performances, exhibitions, and activities. Attendees were treated to a captivating display of Indian dance forms, musc performances, ethnic stalls offering Ayurvedic medicines, traditional cuisines, and more.
