Mahatma Gandhi’s 155th birth anniversary celebrated

Consul General Neetu Bhagotia, along with CGI officials, members of the Indian diaspora, and friends of India, gathered to pay floral tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 155th birth anniversary, on October 2.

The event, organized in collaboration with GOPIO Queensland, featured heartfelt renditions of songs dedicated to Gandhi. Attendees also participated in a symbolic walkathon as part of the ongoing Swachchta Hi Seva Campaign 2024, promoting cleanliness and environmental care. To further this cause, plant saplings were distributed to the community, reinforcing the message of sustainable living and honoring Gandhi's vision of a cleaner, greener world.
