Cultural splendour shines at Brisbane’s Ugadi celebrations

The vibrant spirit of Ugadi illuminated the Kannada Sangha Queensland as members of the community gathered to celebrate New Year's Day on April 13. Hosted by the Kannada Sangha Queensland, the event welcomed guests, including the team of the Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland and other dignitaries. Among the notable attendees was Shadow Assistant Minister for Multicultural Engagement, Senator Paul Scarr. The festivities were an opportunity to showcase the rich cultural heritage and exceptional talent within the community.

Ugadi holds significance in the Hindu calendar, marking the New Year for Telugus and Kannadigas.
