Brisbane celebrates Tamil heritage at Muthamizh Vizha 2024

The Tamil Association of Queensland Inc. recently hosted Muthamizh Vizha 2024, a vibrant celebration of Tamil culture, at Indooroopilly State High School. The event was a grand showcase of music, dance, drama, and debate, reflecting the rich heritage and traditions of Tamil Nadu.

The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland was well-represented at the celebration, joined by various esteemed guests and community members. The highlight of the event was the presence of the renowned Kalaimamani Dr. Chinni Jayant, a celebrated film star, director, and producer from Tamil Nadu, who attended the event as the guest of honour.

Attendees enjoyed a variety of cultural performances, each highlighting different aspects of Tamil culture. The event provided an excellent platform for the Tamil community in Queensland to come together, celebrate their heritage, and share it with the broader Australian community.
