Vrindavan Garden and Krishna statue unveiled at Bendigo’s Great Stupa

The Great Stupa of Universal Compassion in Bendigo recently hosted the inauguration of the Vrindavan Garden and the unveiling of a Lord Krishna statue. The event, marking Sri Krishna Janmashtami, was officiated by Speaker of the Victorian Parliament Maree Edwards MP, and Consul General Dr. Sushil Kumar, in collaboration with the Kerala Hindu Society Bendigo.



The celebration, which highlighted India’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage, saw attendance from Cr. Andrea Metcalf, Mayor of the City of Greater Bendigo, Ian Green OAM, Director and Chairman of the Great Stupa, Captain Dr. Smriti Murali Krishna, and members of the vibrant Indian diaspora.
