FICQ discusses community needs with Queensland leaders

The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland (FICQ) Executive Committee recently held a productive meeting with Queensland’s Opposition Leader David Crisafulli MP and Joh-Paul Langbroek MP, Shadow Minister for Multiculturalism. Discussions centered on the challenges faced by the Indian diaspora, including the lack of community event spaces and sporting facilities. Plans for the construction of the House of India, a multipurpose facility, were also shared, with the MPs acknowledging available funding and expressing their support for the project.
