Queensland Telugu Association hosts spectacular Ugadi event in Brisbane

The Queensland Telugu Association showcased the vibrant culture and traditions of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as they hosted a captivating Ugadi event on April 20. The celebration, held in Brisbane, featured a lineup of mesmerizing performances that left an indelible mark on all attendees.

Attendees were treated to enchanting performances by a variety of talented artists and groups, including Kundani Kasari, Lakshmi Garudampalli, Mango Hill Kids group, Palakabalapam kids, Aravi School of Dance, Violin, The Rhythms Dance group, Natanam School, and Dancing Feet Dance group.

Each performance showcased the rich cultural heritage of the Telugu-speaking regions of India, captivating the audience with traditional music, dance, and theatrical displays.

One of the highlights of the event was a special musical tribute to the legendary playback singer SP Balasubrahmanyam (SPB) by talented overseas singers Sreesutha Nampally and Ravi Muthumanickam. Their soulful renditions of SPB's iconic songs resonated deeply with the audience, evoking nostalgia and admiration for the late maestro.

The event was expertly emceed by Siddharth Nagpurkar, Ramya Raparty, and Padmapriya Nori, who guided attendees through the program with their engaging commentary and stage presence. Overall, the Ugadi event hosted by the Queensland Telugu Association was a resounding success, bringing together members of the Telugu community in Brisbane to celebrate the joyous occasion of Ugadi and showcase the rich cultural heritage of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana.
