Rahul R Vellal - child prodigy, record holder in India Book of

Rahul R. Vellal started learning Carnatic Music, at the tender age of 4. He has already performed Carnatic Music Concerts at several prestigious places across India and abroad and won prizes in many music competitions. His talent has won him accolades, including important awards from nationally and internationally recognized institutions.

He is learning Carnatic vocal music under renowned musicians Vidushi’s Ranjani & Gayatri. He has earlier learnt Carnatic vocal music from Vidushi Kalavathy Avadhoot & Vidwan Suchethan Rangaswamy. He was learning to play the Mridangam from Vidwan Kulur U Jayachandra Rao.

He is currently pursuing his Grade 8 in Western Piano from the Trinity School of Music (London) under the guidance of Sri Abhishek N. Rahul has been mentored by Kuldeep M Pai for the “Vande Guru Paramparaam” Series. Apart from his musical achievements, he also excels in his academics, has scored 97.5% in the recent 10th grade Board Exams.

Rahul has already performed Carnatic classical concerts in 8 countries UAE, Singapore, Nigeria, Malaysia, Hong Kong, South Africa, United Kingdom & Kenya.

Alongside his passion for music, Rahul also excels in academics having scored 97.5% in his 10th board exams.

Rahul is the son of Sri. Ravishankar Vellal & Smt. Hema Suryanarayana.
