FICQ hosts ‘Meet and Greet’ event with new Indian High Commissioner

The Federation of Indian Communities of Queensland hosted ‘Meet and Greet’ event with newly appointed High Commissioner of India to Australia Gopal Baglay, recently.

Community leaders and Indian international students attended the event.

Gopal Baglay delivered an inspiring speech, highlighting the pivotal role of community in fostering strong ties between Australia and India. He referred to us as the "human bridge" linking our two nations. He also made the announcement that the Indian Consulate in Brisbane opens next month.

The event culminated in an engaging Q&A session, where Indian community leaders from various member organisations had the opportunity to voice their thoughts and concerns directly.
