HCI celebrates 10th International Day of Yoga in Canberra

The High Commission of India (HCI) in Canberra celebrated the 10th International Day of Yoga on June 22 at the Hyatt Hotel. The event saw enthusiastic participation from local communities, members of the diplomatic corps, and the Indian diaspora.

High Commissioner of India Gopal Baglay addressed the gathering, emphasizing the importance of incorporating yoga into daily life for physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing. Yoga, an ancient practice for healthy living, is celebrated worldwide on June 21, following its adoption by the United Nations in 2014. The event highlighted the global significance of yoga and reinforced its role in promoting holistic health and unity.
