AII to host Indian experts for dialogue on Indian Ocean security

The Australia India Institute (AII) announced on its Facebook page that it will host four Indian think tank and academic visitors for a nine-day visit to Australia in July 2024. Themed "India, Australia and the Indian Ocean," this program aims to enhance dialogue on Indian Ocean maritime security affairs.

Each visitor brings extensive expertise in Indian Ocean maritime security, facilitating in-depth discussions between Australian and Indian specialists from academia, think tanks, government, and NGOs. The visit will include a roundtable co-hosted by AII and the ANU National Security College in Canberra, focusing on bilateral and multilateral cooperation opportunities in the Indian Ocean region.

This initiative highlights the commitment to strengthening strategic partnerships and fostering collaboration between Australia and India on critical security issues.
