University of Western Australia hosts 10th IDY celebrations
The University of Western Australia (UWA) recently played host to a lively celebration of the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY) with enthusiastic participation from students, academics, and community members.



Led by Prof. Jennifer Howell, Pro Vice Chancellor (Global Engagement), and supported by Sanskriti - Association for Indian Culture and Student Support at UWA, the event attracted a diverse crowd eager to embrace yoga's physical and mental benefits.


Dr. Renu Sharma and other members of academia joined students in engaging yoga sessions that promoted flexibility, relaxation, and inner peace. The celebrations highlighted the growing popularity of yoga among young Australians and its role in fostering cultural exchange and wellness practices.

The 10th International Day of Yoga, celebrated annually on June 21 worldwide, emphasizes yoga's universal appeal in promoting holistic health and spiritual harmony.
