Community members get together to celebrate IDY
Perth, June 23 (Australia India News Newsdesk)
The Consulate General of India, in collaboration with the Indian Society of WA, The Art of Living, Isha Foundation, Djjs Perth, Hindu Swayamsevak Sangh, and several other yoga schools, recently orchestrated a vibrant celebration of the 10th International Day of Yoga (IDY).


This event drew enthusiastic participation from members of the community, highlighting yoga's positive and transformative effects.


Community members, including children who had their dedicated yoga session, joined in various yoga practices aimed at promoting physical, mental, and spiritual wellbeing.


Dr. Jags MLA, Parliamentary Secretary to the Premier, local councillors, community leaders, and prominent diaspora representatives attended the event, experiencing firsthand the benefits of yoga and meditation.
The celebration highlighting the IDY’s global significance, is observed annually on June 21 since its establishment by the United Nations in 2014.
