IDY celebrations across Australia highlight unity & wellbeing

The spirit of yoga resonated across various cities in Australia recently as communities came together to celebrate the International Day of Yoga (IDY) with enthusiasm and dedication.

In Geraldton, the celebrations were organized in collaboration with the Geraldton Yoga Club and the Midwest Indian Cultural Society. Participants from the local community joined in the festivities, engaging in yoga practices aimed at enhancing physical, mental, and spiritual health.

Meanwhile, Swig Bunbury partnered with the Consulate and Yoga Life Studio to host their own IDY 2024 event, attracting participants keen on exploring the benefits of yoga in Bunbury.

Further north, in Darwin, the Consulate teamed up with the Hindu Council of AustraliaNorthern Territory chapter to organize yet another successful International Yoga Day event. Attendees gathered to practice yoga asanas and pranayama exercises, recognizing the day's global significance in promoting wellbeing and unity.

The International Day of Yoga, observed on June 21 worldwide following its adoption by the United Nations in 2014, highlights yoga's universal appeal as a holistic practice for achieving physical, mental, and spiritual harmony.
