Workshop with FICQ members held in Calamvale

On 20 August, FICQ hosted a Grants Workshop and Meet & Greet event which was attended by Councillor for Calamvale ward Angela Owen.

Community Development officers from Brisbane City Council presented on several topics namely, Grant principles, summary of Council grant programs,online applications (i.e. smarty grants),tips and hints (including the importance of acquittals) and further resources.

Angela Owen later posted on her official Facebook account, “A very productive afternoon with my local Council Grant workshop held in conjunction with FICQ member organisations and local community groups. A special thank you to everyone who supported this event (including our hardworking Council officers) and particularly to the FICQ Executive for working with me to make sure local groups have the knowledge and skills to seek grants to benefit more Brisbane residents.”
