IPM: You mention a multi genre background in music that celebrates the groups diversity. What are your primary musical genres? Who are your influences?
Interview with IndiePulse Music Magazine
Our influences range from Alice in Chains, Aerosmith, Jimmy Hendricks, Pantera, Guns n’ Roses, Cream, Megadeth, ACDC, Stevie Ray Vaughn and others, really too many to list.
IPM: What do you aspire to in your musical career and where do you want it to go?
Music is our love and passion, we want to be a national act as well as Internationally known.
IPM: Do the legendary artists you’ve mentioned have a sound or style that you find particularly appealing, wish to emulate, or otherwise feel are similar to your music or the music you aspire to create? IPM: Who are the primary writers and lyricists for your music? Where do the stories/subjects of your songs come from?
We really play by feel, if it sounds good it good... We don’t say “that’s not rock enough” Our songs can be sweet and slow, then the very next riff could be HEAVY
IPM: Looking back to your early days as a musician, are your influences the same for you today as they were then?
Joey - Jimmy, Guns n’ Roses, Aerosmith, Ted Nugent, ACDC were my influences when I stared. I still love them all but I feel like I discover new music he loves all the time.
Nick – I Started with prog. Rock and metal, I like busy music like Dream Theater Now I enjoy more modern rock and less busy music. World music Sometimes even Music with no drums.
JJ – I Started with Ozzy, Black Sabbath, and Metallica. Now I love anything that is fast and heavy to chill music like Red Hot Chili Peppers.
Robby – I started with the Seattle rock scene and nothing has changed!
Thomas – I Started as a hip hop kid, 90’s and early 2000’s hip hop. Now Metallica, Guns n’ Roses and Mötley Crüe are life! We all write music as a group telling stories of old time, about sex, drugs, rock, and personal experiences. We want people to relate to what we have to say.
IPM: Lastly, is there anything else you would like us to know and to consider about you and what you intend for your band and your brand?
We believe if we write good music, do the right thing, and work hard everything else will fall into place. As long as we stay focused on the music
We want you to check out Overdriven, they are going places and making great music along the way.
