In tropical climes, heat and humidity can wreak havoc on a bouquet. Luckily, designer faux blooms are making a discreet debut in home interiors, and fooling even the greenest of fingers.
Our artificial flowers are carefully handmade to capture the true beauty of real blossoms. Every petal, stem and leaf is unique—lovingly moulded by craftsmen who strive to create a natural, realistic look. To reflect nature as closely as possible, colours, textures and materials are chosen with the greatest care. Most blooms come with wired, flexible stems, which can be gently bent to form an
arrangement. Not only do these bouquets look immaculate for several years, they make the perfect gift for occasions where fresh flowers are difficult to receive and care for— people recovering in hospital, for instance, or new parents.
One of our favourite tricks is to pair faux flowers with fresh foliage—such as a bouquet of real eucalyptus and artificial calla lilies—for a lush and long-lasting ensemble. For occasions, you can even place them in a small amount of water, to heighten the illusion—but avoid leaving them to soak for
more than a day or two, and take care to dry them well afterwards.

Creating a well-ordered home in minimal space is a challenge, but there are a number of techniques for instilling a sense of organisation and calm into the smallest square footage.

Create long lines with furniture and decor. Dramatic curtains that fall from ceiling to floor give the illusion of spaciousness. Draw the eye upwards by placing objects on top of high furniture, or with creative light fixtures.

Don’t be afraid to go big—not everything has to be delicate or small. Select a couple of key pieces, such as a statement armchair, and don’t be afraid of big wall art. Choose pieces in a receding colour—blues work well—to enlarge a space.

Make use of transparent and reflective surfaces. Mirrors magnify a room visually, so place them strategically to throw light into a dim corner or enlarge a smaller area. Glass furnishings take up less space visually than opaque items.

One of SHKP’s newest residential developments, PARK YOHO Genova, involved a clear design objective: create a look and feel that resonated with contemporary lifestyles, and help to drive sales for these stylish units. With more than 30 years of interior design experience, the Indigo Living team were confident they could rise to the challenge.
The team curated three collections that would showcase the space at its best, and provided services that handled everything from concept to furniture curation. The three furniture collections, Retro, Coastal and Mediterranean, perfectly complemented the Italian-inspired aesthetic of the development and enhanced the property’s resort-style living philosophy.
Each tasteful furniture package was then offered to potential PARK YOHO Genova buyers, as added incentive for them to purchase a home that was move-in ready.
With a touch of European flair, the Mediterranean look brings contemporary Italian design to the fore, with shapely and sophisticated pieces and an uplifting palette. Soft, natural hues and smooth wood grains define the Coastal collection, with clean, modern lines that help to make smaller homes feel more spacious. The final collection, Retro, echoes classic elegance with mid-century pieces in a rich, walnut finish. This relaxed but refined look employs warm tones of brown, blue and green, for an inviting ambience.
