Are you just starting a business? Are you already in business? Have you thought about sending the news to your friends and family asking them for referrals? they may know someone interested in what you are currently offering? QUESTION: what values can you offer your prospective referrals? ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ TIP: When crafting the email, mention the benefits that your business would bring to your referral. Not the features of your products/services.

Emotions

--Everything is done through emotions – “Human behavior flows from three main sources: desire, emotion, and knowledge”`~ Plato

As we always say, decisions are made by emotions and emotions create memories. What kind of emotions do you want to ignite in your customers? Fear? Aspirations? Desire for affiliation? Don’t think rationally here, try to really go deep on your customer’s emotions. That is the target that you have to reach. This will give you a deep personal connection with your tribe, which in turn would transform your clients from simply interested to deeply connected.

Question: What emotions do you want your customers to feel when they meet you? How can you appeal to those emotions? __________________________________________ __________________________________________ __________________________________________ __________________________________________ __________________________________________ __________________________________________ __________________________________________ _ Example: If you want your Tip: find the emotions you would customers to be delighted when like your customers to have when they meet your brand, then you they encounter your brand and have to create processes that when they leave it. When you find would enable that. Your welcome these emotions, try to dig deep on kit: is it aesthetically pleasing? how you can deliver that promise. Your thank you letter: is it handwritten or personal? Your product packaging: does it make you want to say wow? WWW.INDOKACREATIVE.COM

Do the opposite

“In order to be irreplaceable one must always be different” ~ Coco Chanel.

Build a list of your competitors and look at what they are all doing. Then, do the complete opposite. A lot of people look at their competitors and want to have a similar websites, similar products, similar everything. Instead why don’t you go the complete opposite way? That would make you stand out right? Isn’t that what you are looking for after all?

QUESTION: WHAT are your competitors doing that you can radically do differently? ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________

Tip: by doing the opposite of what your competitors are doing you become different and ultimately stand out in the eyes of your customers. Always look for ways to be different without sacrificing your authentic self.

Example: Let’s say your competitors write everywhere what values they stand for, what their manifesto is etc. Why don’t you instead, tell the world what you don’t stand for?

Yes, you heard us correctly. Make friends with other companies and talk, talk, and talk about them. A lot of people keep their secrets secret. Did that ever happened to you? You find something really interesting and you want to keep it just for your own benefit? Maybe recreate the idea that you found without sharing it with the world? Well, we advise you to always do otherwise. When you take the time to talk about other people, you are definitely perceived as more genuine and friendly. So, next time you come across a great company or some great customer service, don’t forget to share!

Make friends “Power is gained by sharing knowledge, not hoarding it”

Tip: When sharing your findings (e.g. articles, photos, quotes etc.) tag the owner or the company you are talking about on your social media channels. Thus they will know you talked about them. This can be done on twitter, instagram, Facebook @XYZcompany

Find your niche

People are sometimes too afraid to specialize. They think they will close all doors to opportunities. They want to be everything to everybody. In a nutshell, they are afraid of creating a niche for themselves. However, this is the most crucial element for creating a sexy crazy brand. You must find your niche, your voice. This is how you are going to create loyal customers and repeat business. Anybody can sell peanut butter, but to whom? Moms are the biggest market for this commodity but so are dieters and vegans. These groups are as much eager about peanut butter as moms are. Sit

down, think and find your niche!

Tips 1: If you are just starting your business, then take the time to develop your brand. Ask yourself really difficult questions and see what kind of topics you can talk about easily. Answer the 5 questions truthfully. If you’re still at a lost then hop over to INDOKA and we will be able to help you with that. Otherwise, enjoy this little exercise.

Tips 2: If you are already in business, perform a brand audit and find out what works best for you. What do you like talking about? What kind of customers have you been enjoying working with? What are your customers asking questions on? What do they want from you? Listen and give it to them.

Bloggers & influencers outreach

When you find your niche, you have a great starting point. You can now research bloggers and influencers in your industry and collaborate with them. For instance, bloggers are generally excited to share news and interesting products with their audience. A lot of bloggers might even do this for free in exchange of products.

QU ES TI ON: wh at a re 5 bl ogg er s and i nfl ue nce rs th at you c an re ac h ou t t o t his we ek? Ho w wil l you bring v alu e t o t he m and t h eir a udie nce? _____________________________________ _____________________________________ _____________________________________ _____________________________________ _____________________________________ So take advantage of that; this will enable _____________________________________ you to be in front of a new set of clients and _____________________________________ will give you great exposure. However, in _____________________________________ order to give them valuable information that _____________________________________ they would be excited to share, you must get _____________________________________ familiar with them. That means, you must _____________________________________ read their blogs, get to know their style, what _____________________________________ is important to their audience and then pitch _____________________________________ the idea. It is a little bit of work, but _____________________________________ something that could give you a great return _____________________________________ on your investment in the short or long term.

Give high value to your customers “Strive not to be a success, but rather to be of value.”

Albert Einstein

Please, please, and please stop talking about yourself and your products on social media networks. Although it is a way to promote your services and products these are most importantly platforms to develop deep relationships with your precious customers. Ask them questions, answer their concerns. Remember what we told you before? What emotions would you like to ignite in them? These are the platforms you can materialize and awaken those emotions on. Make them want to know more about you and you will most likely create a sale in the near future.

TIP: the great secret here is the LISTENING tool. Please listen to your customers, pay attention to their questions and concerns and you will be the king/queen of your world.

Get personal

People want to connect with a company, they want to know more about its whereabouts, its culture, and its mission. Give them a sneak pick of what’s there. Your customers want to be talking to a human being and not some random non-approachable robot. If you want to connect with your customers, you have to be willing to give them a ‘piece of yourself.’

QU ES TI ON: bes ide yo ur we bsit e wh er e e ls e c ou ld you u se yo ur ph ot os? W hat s tr at e gie s c oul d you dev el op t o ope n u p t o you r t ribe ?

Example: In your strategy you could incorporate a sneak pick of your behind the scenes activities and share it with your tribe.

The Wow effect

Have you thought of a way to surprise your customers after a sale, after a project? What are your customers’ processes? Stand out my friend. When sending your welcome letter, workflow processes, and invoices to your customers how are you differentiating yourself?

QU ES TI ON: ho w c an yo u ma ke you r tr ibe ’s expe ri ence m or e f ant a st ic? tip: Look outside your industry to get inspired. You can get great inspiration from outside sources and other industries trends.

Example: Your welcome email to your client can be an eBook with all your processes in place. Your workflow processes can be done as an infographic document -- I mean get creative over here.

Create names for your projects

It is more fun to have to work with a fun project name such as “Sasha” than just a regular “project with company X” name. Don’t you agree? This could be one idea that you share with your client so everybody is on the same page and it makes the work really fun. Sometimes, if it is an internal company project, you could also let your fans/prospective customers know about it. It will make it fun and differentiate you from the crowd. Get your voice into local industry blogs Getting into an industry blog demonstrates that you are an expert in your field and give you more credibility. So, it helps you create a deeper connection with your clients. Get out there, find some websites that are also related to your industry and guest post there too. Make sure that those blogs and websites have a similar audience than yours.

QUESTION: what are some industry blogs that you think you can contribute to? Reach them out and ask to be a regular contributor. ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________ ____________________________________________________________

Tip: Think ahead of articles that you could write for them. You will be better able to pitch the ideas. If they do have a concrete example of what you can offer them and the value you can give to their audience, they would be more receptive to your proposition.

testimonials

Well, if you think that clients testimonials will magically appear on your website think again! You know you did a great job for your client and that they are extremely satisfied. Call them, send them an email and ask them for a testimonial. People love sharing positive feedbacks and will be more than willing to give you one.

QU ES TI ON: wh at a re so me qu es tio ns t h at you ca n a sk your pr ese nt and pa st cl ie nts ? _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________ _______________________________________________

Tip: Always stay in touch with your past clients. Fostering those relationships are so important for your business. Past satisfied clients can send you tons of referrals and sometimes buy from you again. Don’t neglect them! . Example: Think about your favorite brands. What enticed you to love them? Are you still buying from them? If yes, why? Are you willing to recommend them to a friend? a sibling? or to a complete stranger? If yes, ask yourself why? Your answers should be the blueprint on how to replicate the process and make it your own.
