Warung Sinema Warung Sinema is a project from the University of Wisconsin. Unfortunately, technologically it is dated in that it still uses Adobe Flash, which you will have to download before the videos play. But otherwise, it is fun to use. Some lessons are suitable for intermediate learners, but the majority of lessons are more suited to upper-intermediate and advanced learners.
Anki Anki is a spaced-repetition-based application. Spaced repetition is a method where the learner is asked to remember a certain fact (such as vocabulary items) with the time intervals increasing each time the fact is presented. If the student is able to recall the information correctly the time is doubled to further help them keep the information fresh in their mind to recall in the future. With this method, learners are able to place the information in their longterm memory.
Berita Anak Bangsa Berita Anak Bangsa is a collection of articles from the Indonesian weekly magazine Tempo that covers news and politics. All articles were taken from the Berita Kolom rubric of the online edition at https://tempo.co. The articles were selected by Dr Taufiq Tanasaldy, Lecturer in Asian Studies and Indonesian, in Global Cultures & Languages in the School of Humanities, the University of Tasmania.
Dr Taufiq expresses his gratitude to Associate Professor Pam Allen (University of Tasmania) and Mrs. Yunita Reny Bani Bili (Universitas Nusa Cendana) who assisted in compiling and editing the exercises, and also to Mr. Randy Felim who provided technical support to the project. We are also grateful to the University of Tasmania for providing funding through the Teaching Development Grant in 2017. Finally, the author also wishes to thank Mrs Leila S. Chudori for her kindness to allow us to use the Tempo articles for educational purposes.
