NEW SALES MANAGER VISITS BANGALORE David Dahlborg has been appointed sales manager with a background of 10 years experience in selling complex IT solutions.

What drives you as a salesman?

What is the state of outsourcing in Sweden?

I’m passionate about marketing and see the sales profession as a very important part of every business and it’s important that everyone in the company sells in their own way.

In the largest study in Sweden, four out of five surveyed companies were “very satisfied” with their Indian outsourcing provider. And only 6% of respondents had outsourced to other countries. We see an increased understanding of the importance of our cooperation with Swedish companies and their development. Our work is not only to sell but also to educate and understand our customers needs.

How was the trip to Bangalore?

I had high expectations before the trip and they were exceeded in every way. Especially to get an understanding of the production and to see how the entire supply chain works.

For us to become part of their development department, we must become better at listening and being pro-active - to stay ahead. Then we will manage to deliver the extra mile beyond their expectations. I’m extremely proud to be working with so many great people and be a link between Sweden and India. How does your everyday look like?

My life is all about educating businesses and listening to their needs. It’s not always about technology and programming, but about larger issues - the global change, user behavior and where development is changing very quickly. And Indpros customers, it’s about being able to compete with faster deliveries, being proactive and able to sell new services. Companies must be flexible and prepared for rapid changes to be able to succeed. Thank you David! We wish you good luck and a big welcome to Indpro!

Microsoft Research TechVista PRAKASH IN SWEDEN Prakash went to Sweden for the first time during the spring. Still cold enough to give any person chills down the spine. Prakash is one of the project leaders at Indpro Bangalore and work with projects using the .NET framework and mobile applications. His visit to Sweden was to tie tighter bonds with Swedish clients and to follow up on some of the project improvements going on.

8 | JUNE 2012

What was your expectation before going to Sweden? To have a better collaboration with the clients I am working with and also experiencing and knowing more about Swedish culture, people, food etc. Was there anything that strike you as different in Swedish culture compared to India?

Yes, there are lot of differences between Indian and Swedish culture . As everyone knows, the main difference is joint family and nuclear family. Swedish people are not dependent on each other as we are. This difference has its own pros and cons based on the country. Apart from this less traffic, more cleanliness, no honking, public transports are on time, people are punctual etc are some of good aspects which we miss in India. How was the climate?

It was really good when I visited. I was there in the beginning of the summer and the temperature started rising gradually from 6 degrees. I enjoyed the climate a lot as it was neither too cold nor too hot. But I missed snow which I haven’t seen in my life yet. Did you like the Swedish food?

Yes, I liked the swedish food. I tried different varieties of food everyday. Even though it was not as spicy as indian food, it was good. What is your best memory from the trip?

The entire trip is a memorable one in my life.
