Trend Spotting with our Resident Expert

From James Crabtree, Head of Fashion, AIS

The AIS team and I are delighted to be welcoming you back to Cranmore Park for the February 2023 edition of INDX Intimate Apparel!

We have secured a fantastic line-up of exhibitors, and across the three-day show, you can look forward to exploring the latest collections from over 150 market leading lingerie, swimwear, nightwear, and legwear brands.

2023 is a big anniversary for the INDX brand, and we’re celebrating bringing the industry ten years of buyer and business focused, order-writing trade shows.

We have some very special experts lined-up for this season’s Retail Insights – taking place across all 3 days of the show, plus for those of you joining us on Sunday, Anita are sponsoring the Buyers Breakfast for the first 25 retailers to arrive, and post-show drinks & canapés, sponsored by Wacoal, will be accompanied by live jazz and bossa from Groove Collective.

Without further ado, I’ll hand you over to our resident expert Gemma Baker, for an overview of the key colours and trends you can expect to spot at the show.

Thank you for your continued support, I look forward to seeing you soon and hope you have an enjoyable and successful show.

As the show’s seasonal focus shifts to AW23, you can look forward to perusing lots of luxury fabrics and cosy knits through the loungewear and legwear collections, and of course, there’ll be more than a dash of sparkle and opulence throughout the later deliveries of lingerie, just in time for Christmas trading.

Key colours for the season include new icy pastels which are softened with a range of warm neutrals, and you’ll also see exciting flashes of dark forest green highlighted by pops of hot pink.

Colour blocking remains a key fashion trend across the intimate’s industry, and monogram mesh and sheer fabrics are juxtaposed for statement interest.

Bustier styles and diluted corsetry detailing are important for the season, along with lots of contrast layering and transparent, opaque, and lace panelling.

Finally, and for those who dare, introduce your customers to intricate bralettes and bodies, to be worn as over-garments for an on-trend silhouette.
