CIRCUS ARMCHAIR Residential furniture September 2009 to March 2010 Buenos Aires, Argentina

POSTGRADUATE COURSE THESIS PROJECT

CIRCUS armchair was the final thesis of the Postgraduate course in Furniture Design. I was asked to design a folding chair made of wood. Analyzing previous folding chairs I was interested in their appearance and use when they are closed. Any folding chair is suitable for small apartments but the goal was to integrate it to the decoration. Therefore I created a chair which has dual functions as when it is folded away it could double as an art piece which can decorate a space. AWARD: It won its place in INNOVAR 2011 exhibition and catalogue.
