friends. One time when they were 12, her friend Krissy Garlough's waist length hair was given a little trim... up to her shoulders! Fortunately, nobody got in trouble.

Diana Lee Deschamps Some people are fortunate to know what they want to be when they grow up from an early age. Diana Lee Deschamps is one of those people. And the clients who come to her are fortunate as well.

Diana Lee says she knew all her life she wanted to cut hair. From an early age she would cut her dolls hair and be perplexed when it didn't grow out. Her mom, who recently retired from hairstyling, gave her a doll with the hair that pulled out and only permitted Diana Lee to cut the ponytail. Mom's shop was closed on Mondays, and that's when Diana Lee would sneak in and experiment on her

By the time grade 12 was ending Diana Lee had a good list of clientelle. She had lots of experience, but no credentials. So, she went to the best school at the time, Marvel, in Ottawa. She finished the program and went to Toronto to take Advanced Cutting. Now she has a Masters in Colouring, and numerous seminars on Permanents, Colouring, Cutting, etc under her belt. This is why some of her clients, like Lana Barkley will say, “Do Whatever!” every time since 14 years old and let Diana Lee create something stylish.

Diana Lee finds she works best when you have a picture of what you want and she can use her skills to make your hair like the image. This is better than trying to describe it verbally. She says, “I'm the Hair Whisperer!” and now she is part of what she calls the “Dream Team!” Although Diana Lee has trained to do anything esthetics, she is loving her new space in Beauty Inside on Kincaid, in Brockville. Working with Terry Ann Hare, clients have a full service team. Terry Ann has the esthetics salon upstairs and Diana Lee can focus on her first love -cutting and colouring hair and facial waxing on the main floor.

Although, Diana Lee is sad that she just closed her Cardinal 'His and Hers Hairstyling' it was time for a new change. She was there for 19 years. She found most of her clients had moved closer to Brockville and it made sense to go, too. In 23 years she only moved twice. How she found Kincaid Place is interesting. She told a few friends she was looking and Tammy from Flowers Brockville told her about Terry Ann's opening. Then Jan sent her an ad from Kijiji and it was for the same place. And a third confirmation this was for her, the phone number is her birth year. She has been here since May 2011. A shy client who has been with Diana Lee for 22 years now, says, “Diana Lee knows how to take care of my scalp condition. I don't go anywhere else.” She
