t's 'corn roast' time again, where heaping platefuls of delicious, butter-laden, saltsprinkled corn fills our tables and bellies. However, don't think you're giving your family dog a Harvest treat by tossing him one of your corn cobs! It bears repeating time and again, as according to the Veterinarian Emergency hospitals, pet custodians are still not getting it...Corncobs can be deadly to your dog! While corn kernels have no health benefit to your dog other than being a carbohydrate spacefiller, (often used in low-grade dog kibble) It is the corn cob itself, that is a no-no!

The reason is, the structure of the corncob, is indigestible and can cause internal damage. Even when broken or chewed into pieces, as opposed to being swallowed whole, (which some dogs have also tried) it can get stuck and create a blockage; in the oesophagus, stomach, and at any point along the intestines and this leads to the potentially deadly situation. The sooner the better in getting your dog to the animal hospital.

However, there is a possibility, that your dog cannot be saved, in spite of an operation to remove the stuck cob. Please don't ever chance it! Never willingly give your dog a corn cob, no matter how much he begs for it. Additionally, ensure you discard the corn-cob 'bones' just the same way as you would discard the bones of the holiday, cooked Turkey. (Two of the potentially deadliest and avoidable items dogs can ingest.) While eating a corn cob your dog may appear to be in 7th heaven with the fun and joy of it....What will potentially ensue, is not worth those few moments of fun! If your dog has swallowed a

I believe that most humans question themselves at some point or another, as to whether they are living a life with purpose. It appears intrinsic for us to do so. However, it has become quite popular in recent times, for far too many to worry and waste vast amounts of time trying to decipher what exactly is, their great 'it.' What is your 'life's purpose?' When in truth, living life with purpose is, 'it.' There is no need to separate the two! Of all the world's great population, there are comparatively few who find universal fame and fortune. Not all will experience fifteen minutes of fame on a Reality Television Show. Would you believe then, that all other lives have no purpose? Of course not!
