2016 SUP LINEUP

INFINITY SUP IS DESIGNED AND MANUFACTURED UNDER ONE ROOF RIGHT HERE IN DANA POINT, CA. Dana Point is widely considered the SUP capital of the world and Infinity has been lucky enough to be in the mix since the beginning. Steve Boehne, founder of Infinity Surfboards was one of the very first shapers to offer SUP boards to the public in 2004. Infinity specializes in high end – high performance SUP designs for both Surf and Race. We do not make inflatables or boards for yoga. Thats not what we do. We are here to make the most progressive and fastest boards on the water. Custom tailored and constructed with the finest materials available to the rider.

Every board is custom designed by Steve and Dave Boehne true craftsmen and board builders since 1960. Each and every board passes through their hands to ensure top notch quality and integrity of design.

RIDER: ANTHONY VELA

BLURR The Blurr is Dave Boehne’s signature design. This is the most progressive SUP we offer and has been tested the world over. Dave competes on this very design on the Stand Up World Tour. This design works in any kind of surf and is competition ready. Shortboard inspired and low volume. We are able to custom tune the bottom contours to fit specific needs and waves. We also offer this board in any custom dimensions/volume desired by rider.

RIDER: DAVE BOEHNE

B-LINE This board is the latest performance shape from designer Dave Boehne and is Giorgio Gomez’s signature model. Dave and Gio worked on this design throughout 2015. This design is a hybrid performance shape that sits in between the Blurr and the RNB. Stability characteristics from the RNB and performance characteristics from the Blurr. The wing maintains width/stability above the fins and pivot behind the fins. Flat deck with a moderate angled rail hides volume and adds some reaction time with a nice thin rail in the water. Taking from our latest shortboard design, BLine has the most flip in rocker at the tail so it releases at the top very nicely which suits Giorgio’s progressive and unpredictable style of surfing.

RIDER: GIORGIO GOMEZ

RNB The “Round Nose Blurr is the next step in performance. Incorporating a straighter outline concept, this allows for instant speed and added stability. This board bridges the gap between the Blurr and the Phoenix. Riders are able to ride a shorter board while maintaining the same stability as their standard board. Features a deep single concave throughout the bottom just like our performance shortboard designs. We also offer this board in any custom dimensions/ volume desired by rider.

RIDER: SLATER TROUT

RNB ASYMMETRICAL This RNB has the added Asymmetric tail. This board has quickly become a favorite of Giorgio Gomez and Dave Boehne both competing on this design. Dave competed at the ISA World games on one and Giorgio rode one at the US Open of SUP and made some noise. The asym gives a heelside advantage. SUPs generally have wider tails which is great for stability and speed in smaller surf. The Asym makes the heel side shorter which brings in the wide point in quicker. This helps riders pivot more on the heel side which is more difficult than it is on your toe side. Pivot and quick reaction is what you want in steeper waves. You have the most fun when your mind is open.

RIDER: DAVE BOEHNE

V3 The shortboarders Phoenix. We pull in the nose and tail template while maintaining a straight outline through the apex of the template. Adding a wing pulls the tail template in even narrower while keeping a wide tail block for max planning speed and stability. We add an “elevated wing” to trick the water while turning. Your board will feel 2” narrower under your back foot while turning. This wing aides in hallow waves with some bite as well. We still don’t know the limits of this board as its been proven to be a very versatile difference maker.

RIDER: CHRIS HILL

V2

V4

Version 2 is our most popular model. A performance tuned version of the original. V2 features a much thinner foil in the nose an tail thanks to a subtle “S” deck and angular rails. This keeps volume right where you need it for paddling and allowing a nice thin performance style rail in the water for turning on a dime.

Evolution of design and creativity.

The outline is still very straight but a bit more pulled in on either end from the V1. The bottom has a subtle hull entry and lifted rails that blends into a V concave in the sweet spot which compliments the placement of the fins beautifully. We can do multiple tail options as well. Square, Swallow, Diamond, Arc, Jet, etc… Fast, stable, turns on a dime V2 is SICK…

This Phoenix features an asymmetric tail. This breaks the rules and is essentially two different size boards in one performance package. Feel the heel-side advantage with an Asym. The Asym makes a lot of sense with the wider surf style SUP’s. We shorten the outline and snub the nose for minimal volume displacement. The placement of the fins are key. The heel-side has generous amount of V while the toe side edge is complimented with a spiral V contour. Rocker, outline, and fin placement come together in harmonious hydrodynamics. We also make the V4 in standard tail shapes without the Asym keeping the snub nose.

TMRW The TMRW (Tomorrow) SUP is a nod in the design direction of Daniel Thompson. We took his concepts and applied them to an SUP. We made this board over 2 years ago and people weren’t ready yet. Now that the “big” brands are making them, all of a sudden guys want them. Well here it is, the first of it’s kind brought back by popular demand. Ride this batboy at least 1’ shorter then your current ride. Super stable and super fast. Not the most versatile board but one of the most fun. You will love this board in junk and long walls.

RIDER: BRENT DEAL

The “TL” Team Label was designed and approved by our Infinity team. Dave Boehne, Slater Trout, and Anthony Vela have tested this board worldwide in every and all conditions. This is our staple performance SUP surf board. Different from the original carver, this one has a narrower outline and even thinner foil. We still maintain the flat “speed” section between the feet for drive and blend in to Vee positioned in the sweet spot of the rocker. Match that with a specific fin placement and curvy rocker, it makes up a very fast, and responsive SUP under your feet. 5 fin option comes standard for even more versatility. The team prefers this board set up as a quad. We also offer this board in any custom dimensions / volume desired by the rider.

The Carver is a performance board made for bigger guys who are experienced SUP surfers looking to “step down” in size/length and step up their performance. We thin the foil overall to maintain a thin nose and tail. The outline enables both nose riding and performance off the tail. This performance outline is fuller than the TL for stability. The bottom has a flat “speed” section between the feet which rolls into Vee positioned in the sweet spot of the rocker which gives the Carver it’s magic ride. We also offer this board in any custom dimensions / volume desired by the rider.

If you follow Slater Trout on instagram you know this kid probably has the most fun out of anyone we know!

The “Wide Aquatic” is max volume engineered with max performance for the larger surfer.

When he’s not racing or training he loves to have a ton of fun SUP Surfing. Placing 1st in the Standup World Tour Sunset Beach Trials in 2010 Slater is no slouch in the surf. Slater wanted an all around style performance board.

Master shaper and SUP designer Steve Boehne excels in designing performance boards for the larger 220lbs+ surfer.

This board has more of a traditional performance longboard shape with a flatter, fuller nose allowing for great stability walking the board and nose riding. The back half of the board is similar to the “TL” Team Label with a nice flip in the exit rocker for turning. This board has a very thin nose and tail making it much different from your ordinary long board shape.

Timeless design theory and characteristics come together in one board for the “big dogs”. Catch waves with ease, turn on a dime and enjoy the life aquatic! The big size also doubles as a fun cruiser board for the family on flat water.

SUP LOG This is a sweet board for our longtime surf fans that have converted over to SUP! Dave Boehne wanted to make an old school log but with big enough dims to stand up paddle on. This board is a blown up retro log. We make it with a poly blank, standard resin and glass it with volan. Heavy, 50/50 rails, nose concave, resin tin, glass on fin, and volan glass. We can customize the template too. We’ve been making them with round noses as well as square tails. Rides just like the classic noseriders we have in our surf line. Paddles quick, trims down the line effortlessly and noserides amazing. Now you tell me, is this a SUP? Or a longboard?? Confuse everyone.

DART

WHIPLASH

The ultimate flat water specific racer. The dart bow is extremely sharp with a more V’d bottom than all of the other models. The hull gets narrower from the deck down which means the deck is wider but below the water line it is sharper and has less wetted surface. This creates an extremely quiet and slick displacement of water.

The whiplash has been a staple in our line and continues to get better and better. With the new 2016 Whiplash we’ve kept the same fast rocker but gave a big update to the volume distribution and outline. The new Whiplash is more stable than ever before and is our all-around work horse. The outline has gotten more linear adding stability and the nose has been redesigned to add volume and combat chop, wind, and wash better than ever. Candice Appleby rode the Whiplash to victory at the 2015 Pacific Paddle Games as well as the US Open of SUP not to mention she is the new 2015 World Champion. Choose this board if you paddle mostly flat water with a mix of ocean or choppy conditions, if you like more of a traditional displacement shape and glide, and want to win races!

Low profile needle style nose provides fast “out of the gates” speed while forcing the wide point in the outline further back. This helps with stability and also creates a closer to the body, more powerful stroke. This board tracks extremely straight and has a very clean exit draft. We finish it off with a widened tail block to build stability back into the board and increase confidence while standing back on the tail to turn. The Dart has the most glide per stroke of all the models. We custom tailor each and every raceboard to rider needs and preference. We can make any racer with a flat Cockpit, shallow sunken cockpit or our signature deep cockpit w/ scupper drain for ultimate stability. The Dart is the ultimate flat water weapon. The finest displacement racing down a straight outline makes up for a very fast and incredibly quiet paddle. Available in both 12’6” and 14’ lengths. ***Choose this board if you paddle 100% of the time in flat water***

Available in both 12’6” and 14’ lengths. ***If you can’t choose which board is for you. This is probably your board. All around performance in all waters. Whiplash is our staple performance racer***

BLACKFISH

DW

The 2016 Blackfish is Dave Boehne’s latest planing hull design that is taking the race world by storm. World Champion Candice Appleby and Slater Trout both race this board in all conditions. Originally intended as an ocean racer because of it’s superior stability at narrow widths, it has proven to hang in the flat water stuff as well. 2016 received a flatter sweet spot adding flat water glide while maintaining the bad-ass Blackfish DNA. The planning hull rides on top of the water rather than parting it away like a displacement hull. This makes for very fast get up and go and higher max sprint speeds. “Like skipping a stone”. The linear outline gives it a stability advantage and the rolled nose entry make it very forgiving and versatile in a number of conditions: through surf, up and down wind, chop, etc. Choose this board if you want to get max stability, sprint faster than ever before, and Paddle Like a Freak when the elements are ugly.

The “DW” is our downwind board. This board features the same principles of our Blackfish series but with increased rocker and tuned bottom specific to downwind riding. The volume is distributed a bit differently and features max stability and glide from bump to bump. Channel crossings, Cali short period bumps, or Gorge style downwind bump running we got you covered.

Available in both 12’6” and 14’

Available 12’6”, 14” and unlimited lengths with steering

TOUR

PRONE

The tour is a new take on the touring board. Very stable with an increased tail block. Features all of the same Blackfish trademark design features in a smaller package. This board is perfect for exploring, fitness and everyday cruising. We also can add on tie downs for fishing and carrying gear. The 11’ and 12’ lengths are perfect for ample glide and stability but can perform in the waves and mild downwind runs. The perfect board for people who want a fast stable board but don’t necessarily race.

This is our all new 2015 prone board. This board has been meticulously tested and designed by Dave Boehne and our team of SPEEDFREAKS like Anthony Vela, Candice Appleby, and Slater Trout. These paddlers have extensive knowledge and experience paddling prone boards and we’ve incorporated the feedback into our range of Paddleboards. With the Blackfish concept working across many disciples we’ve created an extremely fast and slippery prone board that is available ultra light and in Lifeguard competition weights. Available 10’6”, 12’, and unlimited lengths.

LTD series is a limited edition offering of high end production boards. We are offering our winning designs in readily available “out of the box” construction that we are super excited about. You have to be quick because once they are gone… That’s it!

RIDERS: TYLER & TREVOR BASHOR

Team Elite Tech Carbon: This is our Carbon Fiber “skin” construction blending industrial strength carbon fiber and fiberglass designed over an ultra-light EPS core which together makes up a very stiff ride helping to maintain glide while at top speeds. The finish is an Epoxy hot coat keeping the temperature of the board cool and the color is applied under the resin minimizing chips and scratches.

SUPspension Tech Carbon: This is our Carbon Fiber, PVC, sandwich Hybrid construction. We’ve developed a performance construction that promotes Twist-Coil-Spring through each and every turn allowing your board to harness energy applied from rail to rail. Very light and Very durable. We accomplish this by strategically placing a Carbon Fiber cross weave on an offset that is opposite from the Carbon Fiber center line. The deck also has a PVC inlay for durability and an ultra-light EPS core that has a big flex. All of these components working together gives the board that “SUPspension” feel and flex. The finish is an Epoxy hot coat to keep the board nice and cool and we color the board under the resin minimizing chips and scratches.

Performance PVC: We like to call this our entry level construction but it really is not fair when it’s most companies nice stuff. This construction is a PVC combine bamboo inlay on the deck and bottom. We utilize a semi PVC sandwich construction with a high density quality EPS foam core. This allows the board to have more flex than most of similar construction adding to the surf-ability of these designs while staying rather light weight. We apply the color under the fiberglass lamination and finish off with Epoxy hot coat minimizing rail chips and scratches.

A Tandem SUP is the best way to include your wife, kids, or buddies into your SUP experience. Steve Boehne made the first tandem SUP for him and his wife in 2009. Steve was surprised to find that he was much faster on it with her than he was on his own single race board. This is because two or more paddles pulling at the same time is much more efficient and will propel the same length board faster than one paddle. When you paddle with another guy, the top speed is two miles an hour faster than paddling alone. We soon found that we could fit 3-4 people on a tandem. This was even more fun and even faster. A tandem can be as short as 16’ but 18’ is a better racer. For serious racing or three people a 19’ tandem is the best. A tandem is only $150 more than a regular raceboard of the same length. It’s very affordable and can be paddled with only one person alone.

“The Quadnundrum: by far the most fun. We make a 21ft 4 person board named the USS Quadnundrum. It’s fast and stable. We become and eight armed paddling organism. We call out the paddle side changes like an out rigger team. This size board is difficult and expensive to make but beyond in the fun scale. Just think of the race team you can create.” – Steve Boehne Infinity SUP broke new ground and Is credited with being the first to race a multi-person team in an elite race ever. In 2009 Steve and Barrie Boehne were the first to ever race tandem in any race. They did it in the open race at Battle of the Paddle. In 2011 Elite racers Slater Trout and Dave Boehne raced to a 2nd Place behind Danny Ching in the BOP elite distance race with only 15 minutes of practice. They got awarded “Most Inspirational” Award.

INFINITY CONSTRUCTION: All Infinity paddle boards are shaped and designed by Steve and Dave Boehne using the finest materials available in the USA. The twin fin revolution is here and Infinity has been all over the concept for over a year now. Dave Boehne has been working tirelessly with Larry Allison on this concept and are proud to offer Allison twin fin option and ProBox fins systems on all Infinity race boards. “It started from our twin fin Phoenix surf SUP’s we make and my love of twin fins. We were blown away by the speed created on these boards. Why not twin fins on raceboards? Stoked to work with Larry and super excited to be the first brand to offer this set up full on in production. If you don’t see these fins popping up on other brands soon I will be very surprised. You have to try it for yourself.” – Dave Boehne Adding the probox twins and front ventral option gives your Infinity unmatched customization and limitless versatility. Ride your board as a traditional single fin, twin, or thruster all with or without a front ventral fin. When boxes are not in use we have custom “floater” plugs that sit in the box for no drag. Concept is simple. Shallower fins for quicker release and responsive “get up and go” feel per stroke. You can add the front ventral for incredible tracking and added projection. The third fin thruster option adds extra shallow area for added traction. Sprint faster, glide longer, with less effort. Simply put it’s the most simplest way to add Horse Power, tracking, and stability to your board. Everyone can benefit from this concept from Elite racers looking for custom ride advantages in different conditions to everyday paddlers looking for ultimate versatility. Why limit your board to a single option? Feel the difference. Key advantages: • • • • • •

Shallower fins means less drag and quicker get up and go. Smaller Multi fins adds same surface area as 1 traditional single fin but with less drag. Twins force water to the center of the board adding lift and enhancing forward tracking. Twins projecting from the rail adds stability from side to side. Front ventral adds unbelievable tracking and stability in side chop, swell, and cross wind.
