Winter 2023 is upon us, and there are plenty of ways to get out and have fun, even when the weather dips below freezing and snow is falling. So, grab your overcoat, warm mittens and hat, and get ready for a few months of activity throughout the Twin Cities. Holidazzle

Location: Loring Park, Minneapolis
There’s free amusement throughout the Holidazzle hours, where kids can meet Santa, parents can enjoy a Fulton-sponsored beer garden and you can shop local vendors and food trucks. Cap it off with a fireworks show on Saturdays at 7:00 and a tree lighting in Loring Park. The show happens Fridays from 5:00 – 9:00 and Saturdays 12:00 – 6:00 through December 18.
GLOW Holiday Festival

Location: CHS Field, St. Paul
Wander through the most impressive holiday light and decoration spectacle in the Twin Cities, located conveniently at the St. Paul Saints’ CHS Field. This event features over a million holiday lights, illuminated trees, larger than life animals and art installations, a featured light spectacle, plus multiple concession areas. Best of all, your ticket and concession money go toward charitable endeavors around the city.
Workshop Events At American Swedish Institute

Location: American Swedish Institute, Minneapolis
Throughout winter 2023, there are several workshops where you are guided through the arts and crafts process. Create home decor, fine art, sculptures and other different artistic pieces under the instruction of an ASI professional. Costs include materials, as well. There are other workshops at the Swedish Institute that are free to attend, such as Maker’s Night, where participants have access to the Berglund Studio Classroom.

Get ready for 2023 by following hundreds of candles along the Wood Lake Nature trails. Keep on the lookout for deer, coyotes and owls, and enjoy roasting marshmallows and hot cocoa afterwards. The event opens at 5:00 and lasts until 8:30. Make sure to bring the whole family!

U.S. Pond Hockey Championship

Minnesota is home to some of the best hockey competitions in the world, particularly when it comes to playing on the pond. The U.S. Pond Hockey Championship (USPHC) returns this year for another rousing bout of rough, raw, exciting amateur matches. Participants play for the coveted Golden Shovel prize as participants celebrate the game of hockey in the way nature intended.
Saint Paul Winter Carnival

This year, experience the country’s largest winter carnival right in your backyard. Featuring an ice fishing tournament, snow park and two parades, you’ll find fun in the coldest places. Most events are free and open to the public and take place in downtown Saint Paul, near Rice Park and Landmark Center, as well as at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. This event, along

The Loppet features a variety of skiing and snow-based competitions, such as skijoring where a dog works with a skier in tandem, snowshoeing race, Kubb tournament and much more. Spectating is free, although you’ll likely find yourself spending money at one of the many vendor tents offering works from local craftsmen and artists, as well as food and beverages.
2023 Minnesota Aviation Maintenance Technician Conference

Ski Plane and Wheels Fly-in
