OUR FAMILY TRADITION
Dear Seagoing Explorer, Welcome back to the World of Variety Cruises; your home away from home. 2018 marks our 50th Anniversary-at-Sea and we could not be more proud or excited. In 1949 my father Diogenis Venetopoulos conceived his first on-land travel immersion experience. It was not until 1968 that he broadened his vision off the shores of Greece and into the far horizon of the deep blue Aegean Sea, and beyond. As we celebrate our 50th Anniversary-at-Sea we have so much to look forward to, but also so much to look back on with pride, honor, and a sweet nostalgia. Our journey began with my father’s dream to share his love for Greece’s History & Mythology, which he gained through his insatiable hunger for knowledge. That hunger, combined with our deeply rooted essence of ‘Philoxenia’, - the heart and soul of Greek Hospitality - became the founding elements of what Variety Cruises prides itself to be today: One of the leading small ship cruise lines worldwide with eleven state-of-the-art SOLAS certified Yachts hosting no more than 72 guests. Our yachts currently serve specially curated itineraries worldwide, including Greece, the Adriatic Sea, Spain & Portugal, the Canary Islands, Cape Verde, the Seychelles, Costa Rica & Panama, West Africa, Iceland and Cuba. Our partnerships include organizations such as National Geographic, the Grand Prix, and the Olympic Games and our accolades include Conde Nast, CruiseCritic, and last but not least being voted as the #1 Boutique Cruise Line Worldwide in 2016 by the readers of USA TODAY. As we celebrate our 50 years of sharing Stories-at-Sea with you, we cordially invite you to discover our world by embarking on your own home-away-from-home experience, on board our boutique homes at sea.
Welcome to our family tradition!
